Recipe Ingredients
5 to 6 potatoes (peeled)
1 lb boneless chicken (cut into thin strips)
3/4 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup white vinegar
Recipe Method
Boil water in a large sauce pan and add potatoes and cook until become tender and firm. Then cut into thin slices or cubes.
Heat 1 tsp of oil in a skillet to sauté chicken in it over medium flame until become brown.
Sauté onion with chicken for just 3-4 minutes.
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt and pepper.
Add this mixture to the chicken onion mixture and cook till the mixture starts bubbling.
Add water and vinegar and cook again till boiling.
Remove the pan from heat and fold the batter with the boiled potatoes. Healthy hot German Potato Salad is ready to serve.
