Recipe Ingredients
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup oil
2 cups stock
¼ cup boiled yellow lentils
1 cup boiled kidney beans
1 cup rice
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp tara garam masala
2 tbsp tomato paste
Recipe Method
Firstly soak rice for 30 minutes.
In a pan, heat oil and fry onion until soften and are golden brown. Then add stock, boiled yellow lentils and boiled kidney beans. Cook for 10 minutes. Add in soaked rice, salt, red chilli powder, tara garam masala and tomato puree and cook on low flame. When rice is cooked, cover and let simmer for 6 to 8 minutes. Delicious Spicy Kidney Beans Rice is ready to serve.
